RMA Policy
At Cypress Tech, we are committed to
offer high standard after-sales service. Our customers can apply for a RMA that
is easier than ever by following the guidelines below.
RMA Guidelines
- Simply
click here
to download the RMA request form, fill it out and email it
back to Cypress FAE or your sales contact for a RMA number. Please
describe the fault of the return(s) as detail as possible as it will help
us fix the problem quickly in the time of constraint.
- After
receiving your RMA inquiry, FAE or sales of Cypress
will check your fault description for each return and issue a RMA number
to you. Cypress will not accept return(s)
without an RMA number issued prior to the shipping back to Cypress.
- Once you
receive the RMA number you are ready to ship the return(s) back to Cypress. Please include both the RMA and Commercial
Invoice in the returning package. Click here

- We
strongly recommend you to use postal service (EMS,
Express Mail Service) in order to avoid possible delay caused
by custom inspection. Other carrier services such as DHL, UPS or FedEx
normally will have to go through custom inspection therefore may result in
some delay, please click here for the
sample form of DHL service for your reference.
- The
customer is responsible for paying the returning freight and insurance. If
the repaired goods is within the warranty period, Cypress
will pay for the going-back freight. For repaired goods that is out of
warranty customer will be asked to pay for both trips.
- Unless the
returning units were originally exported to your country in PCB format
please always return the unit(s) in complete set with enclosure to avoid
unnecessary custom duty on our side.
- Please
allow normally 14-21 business days for return(s) to be repaired. The repair time might vary depending
on the quantity of returned returns.
Warranty Information:
Please note that Cypress offers 18 months warranty period starting from the
day the product is manufactured. The manufacture date can be verified by the
serial number, which is composed of 12 digits, found on the product. The
first eight digital numbers of the serial number shows the date of
manufacturing followed by the last four digits representing the batch number. For instance S/N
200607040049 indicates the product was manufactured at 4th of July in
2006.
End User Returning Information:
End users must contact their local retailer from where
the fault unit(s) was/were purchased. Cypress
will not accept direct return(s) from end users unless the end users had reported
the faulty issues to the retailer but have not been serviced in an appropriate
manner.
