July 29, 2009 Taipei, Taiwan - Cypress Technology proudly announces the latest addition to its line of converters - the universal interface converter CSC-5300. This high quality video converter was developed to embrace today’s widely used interfaces, mix audio and video, and then send its signal to its HDMI output. Users may now convert either analog and/or digital signals from any supported input interface into HDMI v1.3. So even if your input source only delivers 8-bit color depth, the CSC-5300 will transform this into Deep Color video of up to 12bit (1080p@24/60Hz), depending the color depth supported by your output device.
A universal converter type of its kind, the CSC-5300 boasts an architecture supporting 10 source inputs (HDMI bypass x 3, VGA x 1 for PC, Component x 2, S-video x 2, Composite x 2), buttons for 150ms audio delay for 150ms (ON/OFF), format conversion from 480i/576i to 480p/576p, and 3D comb filter/noise reduction. De-interlacing for NTSC/PAL signals is an added feature on the CSC-5300 that enriches its users’ viewing pleasure.
The input sources compatible with the CSC-5300 include PS/3, Blu-Ray, DVD players, Amplifiers, Set-top Box, Desktop/Notebook PC, VHS, Wii, Xbox, and camcorders. These input sources may be connected to the CSC-5300 in various ways, making it a very user-friendly converter.
This HDMI 1.3, HDCP1.1 and DVI1.0 compliant converter also supports a wide range of PC and HDTV resolutions (VGA to SXGA@60Hz and 480i to 1080p) and allows you to control it remotely via its RS-232 port, or wirelessly via an IR remote controller. To further satisfy the growing HDMI demands, CSC-5300 embeds a de-interlacing function that makes HDMI interconnectivity more convenient.
