Across the various vertical markets served by professional audiovisual products, certain installation environments possess unique and challenging conditions that cannot be adequately addressed by standard product specs. In response to this need, CYP has developed the M.A.R.S. product line!

M.A.R.S. stands for:

Military Grade:  Product quality and reliability standards meeting, or exceeding, military standard certification (MIL-STD) and suitable for deployment in harsh environments.

All Weather:  Products that can operate seamlessly across a wide range of temperatures.

Rugged:  Products designed to be robust and durable, boasting an extremely long MTBF  (Mean Time Between Failures).

Shock Resistance: Products that can withstand vibrations and external impact forces.

The M.A.R.S. series currently encompasses products specifically tailored for wide temperature applications, maritime and naval applications, as well as rugged applications.

Wide Temperature Applications

For a typical Pro-AV product that sees use in our day to day lives, the temperature specification set by the industry typically ranges from 0°C to 40°C. However, these specifications may fall short when it comes to high-temperature work environments such as a factory, command center, or even a mining situation room. To address this limitation, CYP has developed 1G AV over IP solutions with a working temperature range of -20°C to 70°C. Starting at the product design phase, we prioritized the selection of highly tolerant components and conducted rigorous burn-in testing prior to shipment to ensure the reliability and lifespan of our products.

Maritime and Naval Applications

In response to the increased digitization of ship instrumentation, audiovisual products need to be able to integrate various sensors and devices, with a range of different interfaces, in a way that the information can be displayed in real-time on the screens on the bridge. Electronic devices on ships must also be able to withstand the impact of waves as well as resist drastic changes in temperature and humidity, so ensuring reliability, durability, a long lifespan, and meeting the relevant safety certifications is essential. CYP's NAV series possesses these characteristics and is specifically designed for audiovisual data transmission on ships. It combines built-in software interfaces to provide crew members with a simple and reliable means of carrying out various critical tasks.

Rugged Applications

Monitoring and control systems in extreme environments heavily rely on audio and video streaming or real-time video transmission technologies. These devices must withstand continuous vibrations and shocks and operate normally in environments with frequently high temperature variations. CYP's MIL series, certified to meet the MIL-STD-810G standard, exhibits outstanding reliability and can operate stably in extreme environments. Moreover, CYP provides customization services, such as M12 waterproof connectors, to ensure that the MIL series meets the user’s needs in harsh environments.
