Following the European Union’s approval of the common charger
directive, inclusion of a USB-C port will become mandatory for a whole range of
common electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, portable gaming
devices, and headphones. This requirement will come into effect for most mobile
devices sold in the EU by the end of 2024 with the requirement reaching laptops
a bit over a year later.
USB-C can transmit 4K video, data, and power over a single thin

governmental encouragement, more and more laptops and monitors are already featuring
